The first factor; is filming one's hometown, one's family - the picture of an ethnic group that no one mentions, an ethnic group that stands still in the landscape of an old life...

​

“Non đặc phăn đí'' roughly translates to "Deep Sleep and Beautiful dream. The story is about a Thai ethnic girl who returns to her hometown to find her burial place - the town of Quan Hoa, Thanh Hoa province (in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam, close to the border between Vietnam and Laos). She keeps walking and realizes she doesn't belong to any place. She struggles with sorrow until "the sorrow goes through the eye of a needle then gets out into the vast universe..."
